PLAY IT FORWARD 3 VS. 3 BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

Goldenrod Companies was the court sponsor for the Play It Forward 3 vs. 3 Basketball Tournament on April 6, 2019. Along with this $5000 donation, Goldenrod Companies also sponsored a 3-man team comprised of local YMCA youth. This 3 vs. 3 tournament benefitted the 2019 Pipeline Sports and Peace Project.

The Pipeline Sports and Peace Project is the conduit for facilitating connections between donors and vulnerable communities in East Africa, based on the needs voiced by local leaders. They act as impact catalysts by providing funding, time and resources for projects that will deliver access to clean water, sanitation, education and healthcare in the most impoverished regions.

Proceeds from this event went towards building an asphalt concrete basketball court with new hoops and custom seating in Gulu, Uganda. In July of 2019, Jamie Nollette, the founder of Pipeline Worldwide, traveled to the Ocer Campion Jesuit College and saw the unveiling of their new sport court which Goldenrod helped fund. The pictures above show the children of Ocer Campion enjoying their new sport court which has the Goldenrod Companies logo painted onto the asphalt.

The Goldenrod team wishes the Aaron family congratulations on this significant day. We are very grateful for the lasting legacy that Hank Aaron created, and we thank the Aaron family and all those associated for their continued support of our project in outfield. We hope this special development, named “The Henry” in honor of Mr. Aaron, continues to pay tribute to all that he stood for on and off the field. “Keep swinging #44”

Our hotel in Lincoln, Nebraska, The Scarlet Hotel, inspired the U.S. Navy to name their staterooms in a similar manner. We had engaged the team at Archrival to write unique stories of nearly 150 Nebraska cities and towns. We shared these stories with the U.S. Navy, along with more than 2,000 photographs depicting each locale which were captured by students from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Thank you to Dale and Roger from the Big Red Sub Club for presenting Zach with this memento.
